This video, I call "Memote". This was a project where I tried to
portray my life at the time, through different genres of television.
Often, I see my life as one big movie or television show. My roles in
creating this short were; creating the concept, videography,
directing/producing, some talent work, and editing using Final Cut Pro.
"Fever Nights". I found often times, when you are sick at home, your
mind starts to play games with you, either in your dreams or while you
are staring at your ceiling in bed. I decided to portray that
delusional feeling. I was most likely inspired by my own sickness and
H1N1, in which symptoms sometimes entail hallucinations. This video, I
also was responsible for creating the concept, videography,
directing/producing, some talent work, and editing using Final Cut Pro.
My partner and I wanted to do a parody of "The Office". We named this "The Class". Instead of keeping the production aspects (camera work, budget reports, etc.) behind the scenes, we decided to make our video, the process of making a video. This was one of my first ever shorts. My partner and I were both responsible for the concept, videography and editing.
This video was inspired by superhero comics; exaggerated, saturated, victorious for the hero, and yet there is still a thread of "to be continued" attitude to keep the plot going. I decided to do a parody of a superhero comic strip. I purposely wanted to make this cheesey and unrealistic. I decided to name this "Duperman and Dr. McBad's Mutant Goo". Quick plot: Dr. McBad has made mutant goo to create a mutant army to take over the world...Duperman to the rescue. I created the concept, was the camera operator, director/producer, and editor using Final Cut Pro.
